The Malqata palace, built under the reign of Amenhotep III, on Western Thebes, constitutes an element of great importance when it comes to getting to know the Egyptian Sed Festival. It is one of the few preserved royal palaces pf the Pharaonic Egypt and where we know that up to three Sed Festivals were celebrates, in the 30, 34 and 47 regnal years of Amenhotep III.
