El festival Sed egipcio a través de la realidad material: el caso de Malqata. Arqueología y Territorio 16: 97-112

The Malqata palace, built under the reign of Amenhotep III, on Western Thebes, constitutes an element of great importance when it comes to getting to know the Egyptian Sed Festival. It is one of the few preserved royal palaces pf the Pharaonic Egypt and where we know that up to three Sed Festivals were celebrates, in the 30, 34 and 47 regnal years of Amenhotep III. The structures documented in the archaeological site indicate that, in effect the Malqata Palace was the centre of the main rites that made up this royal celebration.El palacio de Malqata, construido bajo reinado de Amenhotep III en la orilla occidental de Tebas constituye un elemento de enorme trascendencia a la hora de acercarnos al conocimiento del Festival Sed egipcio. Se trata de uno de los pocos palacios reales conservados del Egipto faraónico y donde sabemos que se celebraron hasta tres Festivales Sed, en los años 30, 34 y 37 del reinado de Amenhotep III. Las estructuras documentadas en el yacimiento indican que, efectivamente, el palacio de Malqata fue centro de los principales ritos que componían esta celebración real
