The necessity of the study of morphology of fruits and seed of the flowering plants was substantiated. The history of the study of this problem was reviewed. The further directions of research are outlined. The results of the study of fruits and seed morphology of flowering plants are provided for the following species of genera Astragalus, Colutea, Glycyrrhiza, Hedysarum, Medicago, Onobrychis, Thermopsis – 26 species in total
