One of the issues that has gained greater relevance in the social sciences is undoubtedly that of indigenous municipalities and their forms of participation. In the indigenous communities scattered throughout the state of Oaxaca, their own forms of self-government continue to be practiced and governed by their normative systems known as uses and customs. On the one hand, there is political participation in uses and customs that represent a relatively recent analysis in the field of historical-social sciences, but of great interest to contemporary societies (Garza, 2012). On the other hand, community participation has also found a continuous expression of solidarity and committed work in indigenous municipalities
