Estimation and separation of bismuth (to the extent of 3γ in 20 c.c.) from other elements have been investigated by following a, colorimetric method using dimercaptothiobiazole in presence of protective colloid (gum acacia) and nitric acid. Effect of diverse ions on the colour has also been examined.
