The assessment of woodworking industry business environment in the western region.

The activity of woodworking enterprises of the Western region and their place in the market of woodworking of Ukraine is investigated. The types of activity of active woodworking enterprises are characterized. The degree of diversification of the activity of woodworking enterprises has been investigated, as well as the most promising forms for the directions of economic activity in the woodworking industry have been substantiated by carrying out a detailed analysis of enterprises of the Western region, which have positioned themselves as active market participants. The main groups of enterprises are distinguished by the degree of processing, according to the product chain of woodworking. The main problems of the timber market in the context of business development are pointed out. It is noted that the timber industry has significant potential for doing business, in particular, growing demand, raw material potential, free market niches in certain sectors of the timber business
