Transects were walked from village to village along a transect line. Common vole (Microtus arvalis) activity indices were recorded in every ten pace interval from October 1990 to April 2000. In 2014, the geographical coordinates of each interval has been computed by spatial interpolation based on georeferenced maps. Therefore, users must be aware that individual locations of intervals are unprecise, but not the general bearing of the transect in the landscape and interval succession.
