ABSTRACT: Earthworms are a kind of segmented, nocturnal, terrestrial invertebrates that are widespread around the globe. They belong to the subphylum Oligochaeta of the Phylum Annelida. Earthworms are important to the breakdown of different types of wastes and the improvement of the soil's nutrient content. Earthworms are raised on artificial vermicomposting beds using a green method called vermiculture, also known as vermitechnology.
