It is the international trend to promote renewable energy, as part of energy security as well as greenhouse gas emission reduction. Solar energy can be used to supplement the conventional energy sources predominantly in remote coastal localities of Bangladesh. Feasibility study of renewable resources of Chakaria, an off-grid remote island, is presented in this paper.
