ARTE+CORPO+VÍDEO+REDE: POR UM ESTUDO DA CONECTIVIDADE EM PORS & RAO

It is a study on contemporary poetics that use emerging technologies as support for languages in crisis, subverted, hacked and hybrid languages that transit between the analog and the digital, the real and the virtual. The evolution of microcontrollers and computation makes it possible to configure an open and accessible ecosystem to the creation, subversion and instrumentalization of equipment and techniques that potentiate creative processes in digital poetry, opening space for innovation in the transdisciplinary field between art, science and technology. The theoretical basis of the research is based on Julio Plaza, Edmond Couchot, Lev Manovich, Vilém Flusser, Suzete Venturelli and Claudia Giannetti. Approaching these thinkers allows us to know concepts such as connectivity, interactivity, interface and networks, essential for the relationships we want to weave between body and machine: art + body + video + network. The objective is to reveal the creative process, the subject-object relationship, the creative genesis of machines and how they interact in human subjectivity by altering space-time experiences, so the idea of networks, rhizomes, tree models and neural nodes is central. For this article we chose to study two works Missing Person (2009) and Nisse TV (2013) of Pors & Rao artists who work with installations and objects, incorporating physics and responsive behaviors. Missing Person combines four screens in a supervised environment, whose reproduced images are altered by an algorithm that processes and superimposes passages to erase the image of one of the people that is farthest from the group. Nisse TV is an experimental installation composed of TV broadcasts (brodcasting) whose programming is generated through a complex editing algorithm that alters and blends sounds and images. Some works by Aparna Rao and Seren Pors imply in a kind of preconceptual way of perceiving the world, in which the emotions and thoughts are projected on the things around us as if everything had a consciousness. Trata-se de um estudo sobre as poéticas contemporâneas que utilizam tecnologias emergentes como suporte para linguagens em crise, subvertidas, hackeadas e híbridas que transitam entre o analógico e o digital, o real e o virtual. A evolução dos microcontroladores e da computação possibilita configurar um ecossistema aberto e acessível à criação, subversão e instrumentalização de equipamentos e técnicas que potencializam os processos criativos nas poéticas digitais, abrindo espaço para a inovação no campo transdisciplinar entre arte, ciência e tecnologia. A fundamentação teórica da pesquisa está pautada em Julio Plaza, Edmond Couchot, Lev Manovich, Vilém Flusser, Suzete Venturelli e Claudia Giannetti. Aproximar estes pensadores permite-nos conhecer conceitos como conectividade, interatividade, interface e redes, essenciais para as relações que se quer tecer entre corpo e máquina: arte+corpo+vídeo+rede. O objetivo é revelar o processo criativo, a relação sujeito-objeto, a gênese criativa das máquinas e como elas interatuam na subjetividade humana alterando experiências espaço-temporais, por isso é central a ideia de redes, rizomas, modelos arbóreos e nós neurais. Para este artigo escolhemos estudar duas obras Missing Person (2009) e Nisse TV (2013) dos artistas Pors & Rao que trabalham com instalações e objetos, incorporando física e comportamentos responsivos. Missing Person combina quatro telas em um ambiente supervisionado, cujas imagens reproduzidas são alteradas por um algoritmo que processa e sobrepõe trechos para apagar a imagem de uma das pessoas que está mais distante do grupo. Nisse TV é uma instalação experimental composta de transmissões de TV (brodcasting) cuja programação é gerada por meio de um algoritmo complexo de edição que altera e mistura sons e imagens.
