Objective: To find out frequency of hepatitis B & C viruses in cases of liver cirrhosis.Material and methods:This cross sectional study was conducted at Department of Medicine Combined Military Hospital, Lahore from March 2018 to September 2019 over the period of 6 months. Total 100 cases of liver cirrhosis were selected and hepatitis B & C viruses was assessed. Results: Out of 100 patients, 59 (59%) were male and 41 (41%) were female, with male to female ratio of 1.44:1.00. The age ranged from 15 years to above 70 years. Majority of the patients (80%) were 20 to 59 years old while only 05% were less than 20 years and 15% were older than 59 years. The patients were divided into 8 groups according to age.
