Bulgarian carabid fauna is relatively well studied but there are still many taxa and regions in the country lacking enough research. This study provides new information and new records on 93 carabid (Coleoptera: Carabidae) species of the tribes Amarini (28 species) and Harpalini (65 species), and 23 zoogeographical regions and subregions in Bulgaria. The focus is on tribes Amarini and Harpalini, which are among the most abundant and species-rich in Bulgaria. Fifty-one, or more than the half of the species collected are recorded for the first time in 20 different zoogeographical regions of Bulgaria.
