Abstract Production of fish from reservoir waters can be increased through scientific sharing of fish production practices. Adoption of this approach will have the effect of promoting the socio-economic status of the related rural population by providing employment opportunities to them. Proper utilization of reservoir water resources will increase national fish production. Although many reservoirs are available in the country, they are not utilized for the development of fisheries, aimed at welfare and development of fisher communities to improve their economic standards.
