Ultrasonic Studies of some Substituted Diketones in Binary Solutions of Water with Dioxane and Tetrahydrofuran

The results are discussed in the light of solute-solvent interactions. ΦK and Φv values suggest that ion-solvent interactions become less on addition of water. The limiting apparent molal volumes (Φ\( o \\ v \)) have been determined in dilute solutions (0.005-0.008 M)
