Background: The hepatitis B and C can be transmitted in beauty salons, through the use and sharing of materials with sharp objects. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted as part of an ongoing trial to assess the seroepidemiological profile (for hepatitis B and C) in manicures and pedicures (n = 30) from salons of the city of Maceió, Brazil.
