Introduction:Traditionally,thetreatmentstrategyofinfectednon-unionconsistedofsurgicaldebridementandthenasecondprocedureforstability.Theuseofanantibioticcementednailingforinfectednon-unionoftibiaandfemurfracturesavoidstheneedofmorethan1procedureasthenailprovidesstabilityandallowshigherconcentrationofantibioticatthelocalsitethanisachievablewithsystemicantibioticsandisassociatedwithfewersideeffect. MaterialandMethods:Thisisaprospectivestudyof12patientswithdiaphysealfractureoftibiaorfemurwithsignsofinfectionwhoweretreatedusingantibioticcementednailing.Patientswerefollowedupmonthlyfor3months.Infectioncontrolwasevaluatedintermsofclinical,haematologicalandmicrobiologicalparameters.
