Abstract: The development of an energy-efficient routing protocol for wireless sensor networks has been a challenging task for academics. It is very different from the conventional routing protocols, which are based on I.P. addresses. These conventional routing protocols are not preferable for WSNs since conventional routing protocols depend heavily on the routing tables, which often require updates. Also, the WSN varies from thousands to ten thousand, making the task of managing routing tables not easy and economical in terms of hardware resources.
