DOIAbstract
The essence of state regulation and management in the field of forest relations is disclosed, which is carried out by forming and defining the main directions of state policy in the field of forestry. The main indicators of forest management for 2010-2017 are determined and it is proved that Ukraine occupies the sixth place in Europe for wood stocks. The priority directions of the state administration are offered: legal regulation of increasing the efficiency of forestry management, counteracting illegal cutting down and corruption, and improving the forest management system
