In many countries induction gen erators are used for electrical power generation by wind energy. Low cost,robustness and ease of maintenance are attractive features of induction generators. Even though these generators are used at some places for micro hydro power generation,very small scale gene ration known as pico hydro generation offers excellent opportunity for them.
