ALMACAL is an extensive (sub-)millimetre survey taking advantage of the high sensitivity reached in the fields of ALMA calibrator observations. We analyse all calibration data taken by ALMA since Cycle 1 (more than 1000 hours of observing time!) to conduct a number of surveys, including multi-band and multi-epoch surveys of dusty star-forming galaxies, a blind CO survey to study the evolution of the cold gas content of the Universe, redshifted molecular absorption line surveys, and line intensity mapping. In addition, the data offer a unique opportunity to investigate the spectral behaviour and variability of a large sample of bright extragalactic sources: the calibrators themselves.
