Contemporary abstract artist Abraham Mashinsky was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Growing up surrounded by a family of artists had a big impact on his decision to pursue a career as an artist. Once he graduated from the Rutgers University with a B.F.A., he embarked on his artistic journey. His work is characterized by a serene and poetic realism, which translates the artist's delight in the expression of streets, buildings and traditional facades. His paintings capture the magic of the aesthetics of the old, and convey all the warmth and humanization of environments not transformed by current life.
