Distance learning analysis in secondary educational institutions of Sumy and Sumy region under quarantine conditions

Distance education in Ukraine is at the stage of implementation and use of educational institutions in the educational process. The distance learning system will not completely replace the traditional learning system, but will complement it, and, at the same time, will have an impact on the development and improvement of education, in our opinion. Today, distance education in Ukraine is at the stage of implementation and use in the educational process by educational institutions. Let us emphasize at once that, in our opinion, the system of distance learning cannot completely replace the traditional system of education, but can complement it, and at the same time have an impact on the development and improvement of education. The purpose of the article is to analyze, generalize and systematize the experience of introducing a distance form of school chemistry course in secondary schools of Sumy and Sumy region. Distance learning in Ukraine began to develop long ago, but became widespread during the deteriorating epidemic situation due to COVID-19. Educational institutions were forced to switch to distance learning. A survey of teachers was conducted. Its purpose was to identify opinions on the effectiveness of the use of online tools to provide distance learning for students, as well as to identify educational resources, e-learning tools that are most in demand among teachers while quarantine. The survey identified how teachers of secondary schools in Sumy and Sumy region organize distance learning, how its benefits are realized, what tools teachers use, how effectively and flexibly; how long it takes teachers to prepare for educational activities. It turned out that many secondary schools were not ready to introduce distance learning in secondary schools. Teachers got additional workloads and many problems: insufficient technical skills of students, limited access of students to the Internet, their low motivation to learn and self-study and, of course, lack of personal experience in teaching subjects remotely. In the future it is planned to open the possibility of introducing distance learning in chemistry lessons in secondary schools, taking into account the specifics of this subject
