The history of the archaelogical skulls strarts when Perito Moreno made a donation of Inca skulls to the Province of Buenos Aires. One of there was trapaneted. Many skulls traveled until France, in Paris where Paul Broca concluded that trepanning was performed on a living person, who had survived the operation for a few days. He celebrated the ability of the Incas to diagnose and locate intra-cranial illnesses, with such precision as to successfully drain a hemorrhage and allow the patient to live for at least seven more days
