Banana plant is one of the most important food crops in the world. It also has rich source of carbohydrates, vitamin-B and also provides good source of essential ions and nutrients. The multipurpose use of this plant has attracted the global attention which promotes many researchers to conduct preliminary studies on genetic diversity of this plant.
