Ekspresowa Ocena Zagrożenia Agrofagiem (Express PRA): Xanthomonas arboricola pv. pruni (Smith) Vauterin, Hoste, Kersters & Swings

X. arboricola pv. pruni is a bacterium that mainly infects japanese plum (Prunus salicina), common peach (Prunus persica) and common apricot (Prunus armeniaca). These plants are rarely grown in the PRA area, but the crops of the other hosts - wild cherry (Prunus avium), cherry (Prunus cerasus) and house plum (Prunus domestica) in Poland are relatively large. In addition, some host plants (e.g., cherries) may occur in the wild, making the probability of establishment in the PRA medium. In contrast, the probability of spreading X. arboricola pv. pruni in the PRA area is low, because in the absence of vectors carrying the bacteria over longer distances, natural transmission of the bacteria is only possible in a small area, and control of nursery stock makes it difficult to carry the bacteria over long distances with infested propagation material. According to the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of February 21, 2008 on preventing the introduction and spread of quarantine organisms, plants of the genus Prunus L. imported to Poland for planting, other than seeds, should be free of the bacteria X. arboricola pv. pruni. Potentially infested fruits imported from countries where the bacterium is common do not pose a high risk of harboring the agrophage, so the likelihood of the penetration of the bacterium X. arboricola pv. pruni into the PRA area is low. In the PRA area, the potential impact of the bacterium X. arboricola pv. pruni on crops without taking phytosanitary measures is low (except in endangered zones, where crops of host plants susceptible to Xap are particularly abundant). Phytosanitary measures are necessary when the pathogen is detected on cuttings, for example, in nurseries, as well as on displaced propagating material.PL; pl; PDF; kwarantanna@iorpib.poznan.p
