As a developing nation Kenya faces significant challenges in achieving sustainable development while maintaining low GHG emissions. The CLEWS nexus provides a holistic framework to address these challenges by considering the interdependencies and trade-offs among climate, land, energy, and water systems. Policymakers may promote sustainable development and carbon neutrality by creating coordinated plans to exploit synergies and reduce conflicts by being aware of the complex relationships between these sectors.
