This article attempts to define the term violence emerging from colonization, in liberating the colonized mind or a nation. It explains the violence and politics of resistance through images and events in the novel and focuses on decolonization whether physical or psychological. The novel under consideration in this article is Twilight in Delhi (1940) by Ahmed Ali. His writing voiced concern over the decay of Muslim culture and the injustices of colonial powers. The violence by the colonizer and attempt to reverse that violence in form of liberation is one of the most important perspectives of this article.
