This article proposes the articulation of the categories “ecology of knowledges” and “intercultural translation” from the analytical method by Dussel, materializing the emergence and visibility of subaltern reality/nature ("analectical similarity") of the Global South into the dominant world of abyssal thinking and indolent reason ("modern distinction"). This visibility is observed through the logic of presence, of critical exteriority, of destabilizing images (such as that of suffering linked to the global South).
