This phenomenological study described household heads' experiences in Purok 61, Sto. Nino, Bulusan, in Talomo, Davao City. In-depth interviews (IDIs) provided the needed information. The available information shows they've struggled to recover from their financial losses. This study also emphasized the need for government recognition and funding. Family optimism reports showed that the flood had a positive effect in terms of their building relation to their family member and community. The thematic analysis produced four "key" themes representing people's actual flood recollections from these testimonies.
