The purpose of the publication is to introduce into scientific circulation a fresco image of an unknown saint, created in the XII c. on the southern plane of the south-western domed pillar of the Cyril’s Church in Kyiv. Make an attempt to attribute this image, as well as critically analyze and refute unscientific knowledge products about the historical and sacred relic, which is the Kyiv Cyril’s Church. It is necessary to publish new information, views, assumptions, conclusions, which, in our opinion, have a scientific novelty. Research methods were selected in accordance with the purpose based on the principles of objectivism, proper scientific assessment, comparison.
