Świerszcz południowy Eumodicogryllus bordigalensis (Latreille, 1804) (Orthoptera: Gryllidae) na Górnym Śląsku

Southern cricket Eumodicogryllus bordigalensis (Latreill e, 1804) (Orthoptera: Gryllidae) in Upper Silesia, Poland. The article presents data on a thriving population of the southern cricket Eumodicogryllus bordigalensis discovered in Upper Silesia. In 2018-2019, ca 450 individuals were recorded during 36 surveys at 20 sites (13 UTM squares), situated mainly on slag heaps. Male chirping activity, enabling the species to be detected, lasts over 4 months, from mid-May to mid-September
