In type 2 diabetes, abnormalities of lipid metabolism and tissue distribution are common and associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. The aim of this work was to study the relationship between the impedancemetric parameters and the lipid profile in a population of type 2 diabetics followed in the Endocrinology Department MED VI of Marrakech. Body fat was assessed using a body composition analyzer. Serum triglyceride, total cholesterol and low and high density lipoprotein cholesterol levels (LDL-c and HDL-c) were determined by standard enzymatic procedures.
