As a newly growing trends among dissimilar application of smart network vision, smart households as a new application area of demand response (DR) strategy has drawn additional attention equally in research and in engineering training. On the additional hand, optimum size of renewable energy founded small scale hybrid schemes is also a topic that is extensively covered by the present literature. In this training, the sizing of extra distributed generation (DG) and energy storage systems (ESSs) to be practical in smart household, that outstanding to DR activities have a changed daily demand outline compared with usual household shapes, is investigated. To the best knowledge of the authors this is the first attempt in the works to examine this issue, also including step-wise reducing cost functions for DG and ESS, variable load and DG manufacture profiles seasonally, and ordinary–weekend horizons for a enduring analysis period.
