In the end of twentieth century, it is noted that of Parthenium hysterophorus is utilized in ethnomedicine to treat ailments viz. Dysentery, fever, inflammation, malaria, and pain, etc. This weed can be utilized as bioremediation agent and to produce enzymes, fertilizers and biogas.
