The given article represents the results of research in anatomical and histological structure of waders’ intestine. It analyses the alterations of waders when they intensively feed during migrational stops. The investigation results displayed the increase in length and mass of the intestine during birds’ migration stops. Morphometric indexes of smallintestine mucous membrane cells get increase as density of their localization. This could be explained as an organism compensatory reaction to the large quantity of nutriments during the intensive birds feeding.
