Inflammation is the key response for infectious and non-infectious diseases. Response is nonspecific response irrespective of any disease condition. Acute Phase Response (APR) is the systemic response for the inflammatory condition which mainly mediated through proinflammatory hypercytokinaemia. A major property of this systemic response is dramatic change in several blood proteins which is known as Acute Phase Proteins (APP).
