NEWLY DISCOVERED DOCUMENTS ON THE HISTORY OF RELATIONS BETWEEN THE RUSSIAN TSARDOM AND THE CENTRAL ASIAN STATES

The article is devoted to the publication of recently revealed documents on the diplomatic relations of the Moscow state with the Bukhara khanate and Khorezm during the reign of Ivan the Terrible. It is shown that the first diplomatic contacts date back to 1548 and they continued with some interruptions in the following years
