Manuscript received 1 October 1973; revised 24 April 1974; accepted 5 June 1974 Complex formation of Uranyl (UO\(_2^2\)+) and Thorium (Th4+) ions with ethane 1, 2 dithiol has been studied in 25% ethanol by potentiometric and conductometric titration techniques. Uranyl ion forms 1:1 complex whose log Kstab is 13.0 at 25° and 12.35 at 35°. Thorium ion forms two complexes, 1:1 and 1:2 with considerable overlapping and their log Kstab values are 15.55, 15.09 at 25° and 15.48, 14.96 at 35° respectively.
