IT equipment in schools plays a decisive role in the successful use of digital teaching and learning tools, both for teachers and students. In order to make recommendations for the IT infrastructure required for the use of digital teaching and learning tools, the results of relevant studies were evaluated as part of a literature search (Survey of Schools: ICT in Education and ICILS 2013). This evaluation will be complemented by an evaluation of the results of the online survey on the required competence of teachers and students for the use of digital teaching and learning tools and possible barriers that prevent their use on both sides.
