In this work, spread spectrum with signal overlapping techniques are used to secure confidential connections against eavesdropping. Routing and spectrum allocation algorithms are proposed in order to establish a set of confidential and non-confidential connections in elastic optical networks, while considering spectrum utilization and enhanced security.© 2018 IEEE.
