Abstract This research examined the pro-poor tourism as a panacea for rural infrastructural development in Cross River State. Two local government areas such as Calabar Municipality and Yakurr Local Government Areas were used. One community was selected from each Local Government were for this study. Questionnaire was used in data collection and information such as types of tourism activities economic benefits of tourism activities.
