DENSITOMETRIC STUDIES DURING ORTHODONTIC EXTRUSION OF TEETH

Loss of teeth and its replacement is quite an urgent problem, constantly attracting the attention of doctors and scientists around the world. The method of orthodontic extrusion of teeth is based on the fact that the attachment of periodontal fibers to the bone, and the movement of the tooth together with the periodontal fibers leads to the formation of new bone around the endings of these fibers. The objective: to improve the efficiency of orthodontic extrusion of teeth by studying the features of bone restructuring during and after its implementation. Materials and methods. We examined and accepted for orthodontic estrus 11 patients, of which 7 (45-60 years) – were included in the main group, and 4 – in the comparison group. Orthodontic extrusion was carried out according to the following scheme: braces were fixed on the teeth (Roth ), rings with tubes were fixed on the first molars. On the tooth to be extruded bracket fixed 1 mm above the correct location. Used 0,014 NiTi arc, which was fixed in the grooves of braces and once a week braces on the tooth, which moved, glued 1 mm closer to the gingival edge. Thus, the extrusion rate was 1mm per week. The active period of treatment was 6 weeks. After the end of treatment, patients of the main group were prescribed calcium citrate with vitamin D3 1200 mg for 3 weeks and locally administered calcium preparation using ultraphonophoresis. Patients of the comparison group underwent orthodontic extrusion and they withstood the retention period. Results. According to the results of the studies, when comparing the indicators of all three densitometric measurements of the optical density of bone tissue in patients who underwent orthodontic extrusion of teeth, it is noteworthy that in the first two studies, all the digital values of the Viva indicators in patients of the main group were slightly, but lower than in the comparison group, due to age differences of patients. The data obtained indicate the readiness of the patients of the main group before the installation of implants immediately after orthodontic extrusion of teeth and obtaining calcium preparations. At the same time, patients of the comparison group need to observe the retention period before continuing surgical and orthopedic treatment. At the same time, we obtained sufficiently high digital values of the optical density of bone tissue during the third study (after the administration of calcium preparations).
