:-Transferring to a new academic institution can be a challenging experience for students. This study determined the achievement goals and engagement and their influence on the academic performance of transfer students at Misamis University, Philippines. The quantitative study used the descriptive- correlational design in examining the relationship between academic goals and engagement to the academic performance of the respondents. The statistical tools used for the quantitative study were Mean, Standard deviation and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient in analyzing the quantitative data.
