Event-management in Leisure Industry

The purpose of the research is to identify the essence and features of modern event-technologies, the way leisure organizations apply them, as well as to study the relationship between the concept of event and the cultural activity of the society, to analyze the event-management use in practice of cultural and leisure activities. The research methods are an organic set of basic principles of research: objectivity, historicism, multifactoriality, systemic, and complexity. In its turn to achieve the goal of the research the author uses the following methods of scientific cognition as: problematic and chronological, comparative, statistical, descriptive, logical and analytical. Scientific novelty. The article looks into the triad of the event – management – culture study concepts, inseparably tied with social and cultural activity of the society, influencing the economic development of the state. Conclusions. Cultural and entertainment sphere has a great influence on the development and formation of the event-technologies. Event-management becomes an innovative tool for achieving the organization’s goals at all stages of its operation. It is also worth noting the importance of using event-management technologies in building a positive image of the organization, corporate culture, thus increasing its market competitiveness
