Ethnobotanical survey and documentation of medicinal, field grown, ornamental, and wild plants were carried out in and around Maruthuvambadi village, Tiruvannamalai district, Tamilnadu. This study aimed to identify plants collected for medicinal and other purposes by the local people of the village. A total of 250 plant species were observed in this study. These plant species, belonging to 70 families with 199 genuses are listed in alphabetical order with family and vernacular name. As a result of global warming, pollution and deforestation some precious plants are coming under endangered list so the information obtained from this simple survey will be beneficial to the upcoming generations of this village in identifying the medicinally val...
