Knowledge integration = knowledge diffusion? On impact and benefits of interdisciplinary research

First results of the present research-in-progress have already yielded interesting finding on how interdisciplinarity is associated with impact and contributing further interdisciplinary research. In further stages of the projects, these random-sample based results will be deepened and further elaborated to reliable statements and robust conclusion of more generality
