This paper x-rays the Ekiti State governorship election in Nigeria, held on the 18th day of June, 2022, relying on qualitative approach and using materials put together from secondary sources. The Ekiti State governorship election, 2022 left notable mark in the Nigeria electoral and political history. The election also gave an insight on how Osun State governorship election in July 2022 and general elections in 2023 would be.
