In the process of this interaction, part of these compounds purposefully or spontaneously enters the human body. Some of these compounds are not used by the body for life or are used as an energy source, these compounds are combined into a group of non-natural compounds or xenobiotics. Elimination of xenobiotics is carried out in different organs (lungs, skin, gastrointestinal tract), but they are most actively carried out in the liver. Transformed xenobiotics that have acquired hydrophilia are excreted by the kidneys (the second, after the liver, an important organ of the detoxification system). The defeat of these two organs — the liver and kidneys can lead to the development of renal-hepatic syndrome. Based on the foregoing, the aim of the work was to assess the structural and functional changes in the organs of the rat detoxification system during gentamicin loading. The authors in an experiment on 76 white rats of the Wistar line of autobred breeding weighing 180-200 g evaluated changes in the liver and kidneys during gentamicin intoxication. Dystrophic changes in the liver and destructive in the kidneys were revealed. The detoxification potential of the liver and urinary function of the kidneys decreased. Changes in nature were close to those described in renal-hepatic syndrome. However, the authors believe that there is a pseudo- renal-hepatic syndrome, since nosology of liver damage has not been identified. In addition, in connection with the preservation of the activity of redox enzymes, the authors believe that the possibility of damage repair remains.
