FEATURES OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHILDREN'S EDUCATIONAL ISSUES IN UKRAINE

The article deals with the question of the occurance and development of the children’s educational issues beginning with the times of Kyiv Rus. The periods of development of publishing products for the children on the territory of Ukraine are distinguished. It is noticed that the first work for the children is «Povchannia» written by Volodymyr Monomakh, and the first printed work for the children is «Bukvar» by Ivan Fedorov. A review of the children’s issues in Kyiv Rus as well as in the period from the XVIth to the XXth century is carried out. It is found out that the rapidest development of the children’s printed production took place in the XXth and XXIst centuries. A significant impetus for the diversification of the children’s educational issue was the occurance of the children’s periodicals that appeared in the XVIII century. In connection with the historical conditions, publishing of the children’s educational issues in Ukraine developed heterogeneously. It is investigated that the main tendency of the world development of the educational branch at the beginning of the XXth century is characterized by the struggle with illiteracy; the progressive part of humanity called to involve all the children to study, to implement a kind of the universal education. It is concluded that at the present stage of development of printed children’s products the issue of improving the quality of the printed book is important which in general depends on the professional work of the editor
