Filtering paper materials (FPM), which are easy to recycle, are widely applied to water purification. The main disadvantage of the absolute majority of filtering materials, including paper, is their tendency to biofouling. This drawback considerably limits or even sometimes makes it impossible to use filtering materials and/or sorbents in a certain medium.
