Creative Component of Modern Recreational and Leisure Practices

The purpose of the article is to identify the creative component of modern recreational and leisure practices and justify the features of their implementation in the domestic cultural space. The article examines the creative component of modern recreational and leisure practices. The features of their implementation in the cultural space of Ukraine are revealed. The urgency of the scientific issue is due to the fact that although domestic scientists study certain aspects of creativity in a range of different cultural practices, however, modern recreational and leisure practices, their creative component are not considered by Ukrainian scientists. The research methodology arises from the need to apply culturological, applied and philosophical approaches to analyse the creative component of recreational and leisure practices. The scientific novelty is that the paper represents the first attempt to conceptually study the creative component of recreational and leisure practices in the domestic cultural space. It is established that in the recreational and leisure sphere new types of practices are emerging, the component of which is creativity (performances, quests, parkour, digging and stalking, event and “dark” tourism, Wellness & SPA, etc.), since they are focused on the creative approach to leisure activities. It is emphasised that creativity can be cultivated not only in art, production process, professional activities, but also in the field of leisure and recreation, where a person can be not just a consumer of products and services produced by “professionals”, but also organise his own leisure time, engage in creativity and co-creation. Conclusions. Modern recreational and leisure practices indicate a break in stereotypes, a change in the type of recreation to a creative process that forms a lifestyle where the need for relaxation, the ability to distract and relax are combined with the search for a new vision of the world, new experience for creative activities
